The Visitation BVM Preschool program is for 4-years and older children. Our teacher is Mrs. Mary DeLuca. You may reach her through the main school phone number (610) 539-6080 x334.
Mission Statement Our goal in this preschool is to enhance opportunities for learning. We integrate these opportunities for growth within our school community. Each child will develop social, emotional, cognitive and motor skills. Our Catholic school atmosphere allows for spiritual growth. Classes are run from 8:45 to 11:15 AM Monday through Friday for 5-day program Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 3-day program Open House for the 2009-2010 school year is Friday, September 11, 2009. First Day of School – Monday, September 14, 2009. $200 per month for 3-day program $300 per month for 5-day program Tuition is due on the first school day of the month. Our School Year The time in the beginning of the school year is used for getting acquainted with the school as well as with each other. Preparation of Kindergarten is a priority, and each child will receive individual attention in developing the necessary fine and gross motor skills. We have social gatherings at Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and closing exercises in June. We use these social gatherings as times when the children perform poems and songs they have learned for each holiday. Parents and family members are encouraged to attend these social functions. We take walking trips around the school and church premises. Our field trip to the Zoo and Nature Center is during the Spring. We celebrate the conclusion of the school year with closing exercises in June. PLEASE LABEL ALL YOUR CHILD’S BELONGINGS WITH HIS/HER NAME. THANK YOU! What to Bring 1. A small healthy snack. 2. A small beverage in a lunch box. 3. School Bag School Supplies These remain in the classroom for the entire year. 1 – 8 pack of crayons 1 – water color set 1 – glue stick 1 – pair of scissors 1 - small art box 1 – box of tissues Good Behavior Day We reward each child who demonstrates kindness, patience and respect to others. This will be indicated by placing a washable stamp on your child’s hand at the end of the day. Our Day’s Schedule 1. Self-directed play and exploration. 2. Circle time prayers, calendar counting, weather, songs, poems and exercises. 3. Religion, Science and literacy activities. 4. Snack and outdoor play. 5. Music and Movement, Show and Tell (in January), shape and color readiness, instructional games, and Art. 6. Story time and discussion. | |
