MSA Technology Infrastructure Goals

Short-Term (1-2 years)

  • Replace old laptops in Junior High carts
  • Secure funding, identify experts, and utilize time to improve professional development opportunities for entire staff.
  • Build computer lab inside library.
  • Evaluate needs and provide workstations for classrooms.
  • Redeploy older laptops as additional classroom resources.
  • Examine and provide technology-based teaching tools and resources regularly.
  • Align our technology services (e.g.  Web filtering, virus protection, mobile devices) with Archdiocesan standards.
  • Solicit additional sources of funding through business partners, grants, and donations.
  • Integrate BYOD model or 1:1 ratio model into school environment.

Long-Term (5 years)

  • Fully integrate 1:1 ratio model into school environment.
  • Grow facilities within Library computer lab.
  • Continue to secure funding, identify experts, and utilize time to improve professional development opportunities for entire staff.
  • Replace aging workstations and laptops throughout school on a regular basis.
  • Replace computer network infrastructure to integrate emerging technologies as needed.
  • Examine and provide technology-based teaching tools and resources regularly.
  • Align our technology services (e.g.  Web filtering, virus protection, mobile devices) with Archdiocesan standards.
  • Solicit additional sources of funding through business partners, grants, and donations.
  • Introduction of an I-pad cart.
